The Doo Wop Project at the Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts
Old School, New Generation. The Doo Wop Project traces the evolution of tight harmony doo wop style music with unparalleled authenticity and vocal excellence. Featuring stars of Broadway’s Jersey Boys and Motown: the Musical, the excursion kicks off with groups like the Belmonts and Flamingos and strolls through the influential sounds of The Temptations, The Four Seasons and Smokey Robinson. Their fresh new sound “DooWopifies” contemporary greats such as Michael Jackson, Jason Mraz and Maroon 5.
