The Arizona Game & Fish Department, Arizona Chapter of the Wildlife Society, Maricopa County Parks, and several partner organizations are coming together to host the 2022 Hassayampa Ecosystems BioBlitz (HEB) from 9am on Saturday, April 9th – 9am on Sunday, April 10th. This is a community science project to record as many species as we can during this 24-hour period on the Hassayampa Plain and surrounding mountains Much of this large area is slated for future development, so the goal is to map out the biodiversity of desert ecosystem before it becomes further impacted.
