Guided Herp Walk at Hassayampa River Preserve
REGISTRATION REQUIRED – Late spring is one of the best times of year to see reptiles and amphibians in Arizona!
Join Steven Prager from Audubon Southwest, and Melissa Fratello from the Center for Biological Diversity, to look for these ‘herps’ along the Preserve trails while learning about identification and ecology, with possible species including Gilbert’s skink, Gila monster, desert spiny and zebra-tailed lizards, Sonoran mud turtle, Sonoran Desert tortoise, California kingsnake, western diamondback rattlesnake, lowland leopard frog, and Arizona toad.
