Desert Survival Class with the Wickenburg Conservation Foundation
The Wickenburg Conservation Foundation is inviting all outdoor enthusiasts to a free Desert Survival class held on the patio at the Wickenburg Public Library on Tuesday, March 23 from 10:00am to 12 noon.
Retired San Bernardino County Deputy Sheriff and Search and Rescue Volunteer Marylee Brown will explain what equipment to pack, how to start a fire, and stay hydrated, and other critical skills that will keep people alive until help arrives.
This event is free but registration is required. Register by emailing wickenburgtrails@gmail.com or registering online at wickenburgtrails.org.
FYI: A Box Canyon Ambassador information session will follow at the same location from 12 noon to 1:00pm. Participants will learn about how they can be part of WCF’s Wickenburg Clean and Beautiful program to keep Box Canyon safe and clean for recreation.
