FRIDAY, DECEMBER 3:

We invite you to visit our western community for this special heritage event. The Cowboy Reception is on Friday, December 3 and includes beer/wine and appetizers at the Desert Caballeros Western Museum Cultural Crossroads Learning Center, located at 17 N. Tegner Street. Doors open at 5:45pm and the reception runs from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. Several of our featured cowboy poets & entertainers will be performing to give you a small taste of what will be featured at the Saturday night show. Limited tickets are available for the reception for $10.00 in advance or $20.00 at the door.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 4:

The featured cowboy poet’s performance is scheduled on Saturday, December 4, doors open at 6:30 p.m., performance begins at 7:00 p.m. in the Wickenburg Community Center, 160 N. Valentine Street. The gathering is not a contest — there are no prizes and no winners. Rather, it is a place and time when cowboys, ranchers, and folks involved in raising and caring for cattle and horses get together to celebrate the present in poetry, songs and story, just as they did over 155 years ago.

Admission: $15 in-advance tickets, $25.00 after December 1st and at the door.

Our featured poets include Waddie Mitchell, Yvonne Hollenbeck, and Jean Prescott.
