Hassayampa Kids Camp
Registration is now open for students age 7 to 12 to attend Kids Camp from 8 until 11:30 a.m., June 16-20 at The Hassayampa River Preserve.
Each day students will explore the fascinating world of birds, plants and wildlife and the water that supports life in the desert. A variety of engaging nature-based activities and experiments and easy walks along the trails will introduce them to the natural history of the preserve and surrounding desert. Students will keep a daily journal of their observations and ideas.
Parents are welcome to attend every day but are especially encouraged to attend student report outs at the Friday session.
A fee of $40, which includes supplies and a daily snack, is payable on the first day of camp. Participants should wear closed-toe shoes, hats, and sunscreen and bring a water bottle.

The 0-acre Hassayampa River Preserve is located on Highway 60 three miles southeast of Wickenburg at milepost 114. It was created in 1987 to protect a rare desert cottonwood/willow streamside habitat that attracts more than 280 species of birds annually and supports diverse plant and animal communities.
