Vulture Mine
This historic mine
offers you a peek of yesteryear through a self-guided tour of the remaining
buildings and mine site. Guided group tours may be scheduled, as well as camping
and trailer-park reservations. The historic mine was founded in 1863 by Henry
Heintzel Wickenburg who fled from his homeland of Prussia in his quest for gold.
Vulture Mine is
located 12 miles south of Highway 60 & Vulture Mine Road. Open during the
winter months seven days a week, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Call the Chamber Office
